Biblical Love
God loves man and when man fell to sin, God’s redemptive plan began, a plan set out from before the foundations of the world to draw all those that will believe to Him. Christ died for all those who believe in Him that they will be saved. This act of love showed God’s desire for all of man to come to him, to be saved, even though we know that some won’t.
(John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Ephesians 1:3-13, Ephesians 2:1-10)
Worldly Love
Worldly love is always categorized by a desire to fit in, to be accepted as you are and with no change. This love leads to death because it encourages the sinner in their sin, to taste and enjoy death over and over again. It affirms sins like LGBTQ+, heterosexual sex outside marriage, anything that tries to spare the feelings of the person from the truth that condemns the sin that Christ died for.
(1 John 2:15-17, 1 Corinthians 3:1-3,18-19, James 4:4, Proverbs 27:6)
Being loving
Biblical love means that we speak the truth in love. A lot of people don’t like hearing the truth, that doesn’t mean you change the truth, it means that those that desire to follow God will hear the truth and change. We preach boldly what Christ did for sinners and that it is available for all those that would believe, that would put their faith in Christ. There is no compromise on what the Son has told us.
(Proverbs 27:19, Ephesians 4:11-16, Romans 10:13-15)

This love is a changing love, the Spirit changes all those who are given Him.
This love changes us from sinners into saints. It yields us to the Father, to submit to His will, to be changed and live unhypocritically. It turns the sexually immoral to sexually pure, thieves into workman, swindlers into honest men. This love is the only way to be changed, you can’t do it on your own. No amount of moral strength, virtue signaling, beating yourself, or anything of the like can set you free from your sin nature. It is through Faith in Christ alone that you can be set free, which is available thanks to Christ Death on the Cross.
Christ was proclaimed to become a man all the way in the garden in Genesis 1, and is revealed all throughout the bible as the King of all Kings, Lord of all Lords, Prophet of all Prophets. He reveals Himself in every book of the bible, and finally in the flesh in the New Testament. Born of a virgin, Christ became human to crucify the flesh and set free all those who would believe in Him and call on His name. This salvation was secured when He willingly laid down His life by letting Himself be crucified as a perfect man instead of healing Himself, or selfishly casting aside what He did, because He loves.

“love is love!”
No, you don’t love spaghetti, your dog, your mother, and your boyfriend the same. Not all love is the exact same love, God sends rain on both the just and the unjust, that doesn’t mean He saves them all.

“My sin isn’t actually a sin!”
The bible tells us all the good things we are to pursue and all the evil things that are sins. Homosexuality, lust, greed, pride, envy, all of them are sins. When you learn to submit to that, you can be changed.

“You just hate _______ people”
We hate sin and satan and all those that sin against themselves and others. We have a passionate distaste for self-destruction. This means we preach for them to change and find Christ, because satan hates that. We preach salvation so people can be saved from themselves and sin. Hating to see people lost and preaching the truth is love at its finest
The Gospel is unchanging and direct
“In New Testament terms, the gospel is the proclamation of the person and work of Jesus Christ plus how the benefits of that work can be appropriated to us by faith and by faith alone.”
~R.C. Sproul
And although you were formerly alienated and enemies in mind and in evil deeds, but now He reconciled you in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— if indeed you continue in the faith firmly grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.
~Apostle Paul Colossians 1:21-23
