1/26-2/1 Some thoughts on the future and our prayers.
Prayer ListPrayer App – We are releasing our beta version of our Prayer App/QR Code thing that allows students to scan it and then submit prayer requests. It goes out Feb 1st as a way to allow people to anonymously submit prayer requests on campus. Fundraising – I have been really swamped and unable to keep up with Ministry Partner development. If you have any leads on people who would want to support Discipleship of college students I’d love the opportunity to talk with them. We still have the goal of handing out Hot Cocoa for free during the all-nighter and during the Saturday people are looking at statues. The Keweenaw – We are getting our hands into more and more things, specifically trying to host lectures, and speaker, and much. Prayers for the Keweenaw to come to faith in Christ and that we would be fruitful in our endeavors. But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “This man does not cast out demons except by Beelzebul the ruler of the demons.” And knowing their thoughts He said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand. And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? For this reason they will be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Matthew 12:24-28
Campus Ministry ThoughtsWhen attempting to create a plan for the future, it can be a bit daunting because no one truly knows what is next. Yet, without a plan for the future, you end up aimlessly wandering. In working with a few of my students, I think we finally settled on a direction.
These 4 things give us a clear definite direction, we are not here to evangelize and then let them fend for themselves, we are hear to make hearty, faithful, jolly warriors of the faith. These men and women are equipped to handle the rampant anti-truth sentiment of our times, while carefully handling those within the church that come to us that think of God as a stone cold and heartless God. We are not here, trying to strongarm people into believing, but here to show that God has not revealed to us the time or the hour, and so we must carry on our lives in diligence to plan out a future of Godliness for generations to come, if they are to come. The kingdom of God is still advancing, we are seeing the fruits of that around different sectors of Christianity. The false god that many have worshipped that they called Jesus is being disintegrated as people are realizing the falseness of the “social gospel” and more students are trying to find explanations for the world as naturalism and rationalism have begun faltering. It is encouraging to see our students being able to handle the students who come and challenge that bibles authority because they have been trained rightly that Scriptures are the infallible, inerrant word of God. P.S. I’ve included a picture as the cover of us building the Leviathan for Winter Carnival, hopefully it turns out well. To God be the Glory Brandon Charbonneau |
