Overdue September Prayer List
Prayer ListIsaac – We’ve had a transgender masters student (cognitive something or other) who has been coming around asking a lot of questions. It’s been good to interact with him, but it seems like just an intellectual endeavor. Pray for him to put aside intellectual treatises and battle of wits and engage with us. He grew up lutheran, became atheist in undergrad, and agnostic in late undergrad/masters. New Students – We’ve got approximately 20 new students, prayers for them as they have all various levels of commitment. Pray that student leaders would rise from them, that a few students would be greatly dedicated to the work of the Gospel and that we would find great hope and joy in new students. Sion and I – Pray for us as we seek to evangelize and spread the Gospel on campus. We face constant relativistic claims and students who are completely closed. Pray that God would open a door for us. Fundraising – I have put fundraising on the back burner for the last month as the work is so plentiful, and will be plentiful until mid October when things settle in. Pray for God to raise up more supporters and funds so that we can hire Sion at least part time this year, his time has been a great aid to me especially with the coming of my son Asher.
When we cannot pray as we would, it is good to pray as we can. If I feel myself disinclined to pray, then is the time when I need to pray more than ever. Prayer is the natural outgushing of a soul in communion with Jesus. – C.H. Spurgeon
